FAYETTE – The outside wedding of Amy Christina Gee and Jason Timothy Welch was held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 10 at Martinsville on the oceanfront. L. Greenlaw, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Welch is the daughter of Jack and Betty Gee of Medicine Lodge, Kansas. Mr. Welch is the son of Timothy and Catherine Welch of Fayette.

The bride, given in marriage by her father-in-law, wore a strapless, lace fitted gown with Cathedral length train and she carried a bouquet of Calla lilies and roses.

Kendra Dexter of Kansas, best friend of the bride, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Katie Drake, sister of the bridegroom, Mollie Welch, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, Chrissy Cloutier and Kristin Newall, friends of the couple, and Elizabeth Trzicky of Kansas, best friend of the bride. Raquelle and McKenzie Hardin, daughters of the bride, were flower girls.

Adam Welch performed the duties of best man for his brother and ushers were Kevin Drake, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Ryan Laverdiere, Jim Flagg and Pete Cloutier, friends of the couple, and Bryce Swafford of Kansas, friend of the bridegroom. Ahten Gabryel, nephew of the bridegroom, escorted by his mother, Emily Welch, sister of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at Martinsville. The couple is planning a trip at a later date. They are residing in Wichita, Kansas.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Medicine Lodge High School and a 1997 graduate of Vernon’s School of Cosmetology. She is self-employed as a cosmetologist.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Livermore Falls High School and a 2001 graduate of Southern Maine Technical College. He is employed as an on-premise sales rep at Wichita Distributors.
