POLAND SPRING – The wedding of Mia S. Poliquin and James F. Pross was held on Oct. 15 at All Souls Chapel in Poland Spring. Seth Waleryszak, friend, officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Diann King of Lewiston and Meo Poliquin of Harrison. The bridegroom is the son of Jim and Kathy Pross of Wantage, N.J.

The bride, given in marriage by her father and joined at the altar by her mother, wore a gown in diamond white made of brushed satin with pearl and sequin corset bodice. The gown had a Cathedral train and she wore a veil and carried a bouquet of hocus pocus roses and wheat. She wore her grandmother’s crystal necklace and earrings and a crystal and pearl tiara.

Michelle McKay, cousin, was maid of honor, and Lee Boone, friend, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Maija Comeau, Kim Walker and Emilie Roth Richardson, friends, and Kelly and Lindsay Pross, sisters of the bridegroom.

Jeff Buchholtz and Michael Apgar were best men for their friend, and ushers were Michael DeMarco, Vince Rullo, George Haight, Bill Shaw and Michael Monteverde, friends, and Jack LeBlond, brother of the bride.

A reception followed at the Poland Spring Inn, after which the couple traveled to Sedona, Ariz., and the Grand Canyon. They are residing in Auburn.

The bride is a 1993 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2000 graduate of Plymouth State College with a bachelor’s degree in social work. She received her juris doctor degree in law in 2004 from Franklin Pierce Law Center. She is employed as associate planner at Downeast Financial Group in Lewiston.

The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of High Point Regional High School and a 1999 graduate of the University of Charleston in West Virginia, with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He also received a juris doctor degree in law in 2004 from Franklin Pierce Law Center. He is an attorney with Gosselin, Dubord and Bell in Lewiston.
