LEWISTON – The wedding of Kathy Ann Pleau and Matthew Deane Martin was held at 5 p.m. on Aug. 5 at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. The Rev. Andrew Dubois officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Martin is the daughter of John and Connie Pleau of Lewiston. Mr. Martin is the son of Kimber and Susan Martin of New Gloucester.
The bride wore a white halter-style gown and carried a bouquet of red roses. Abby Martin-Murray, sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Stephanie Hathaway, Deanna Levesque and Beth Chamberlalin, friends of the bride, and Sarah Pleau, sister-in-law of the bride.
A brother of the bride, Michael Pleau, performed the duties of best man, and ushers were Aaron Cretien, Brian Levesque and Brett Rowley, friends of the bridegroom, and Robert Murray Jr., brother-in-law of the bridegroom.
A reception followed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to Maui, Hawaii. They are residing in Lewiston.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and a 2002 graduate of River College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is employed by the Auburn School Department as a second grade teacher at Fairview School.
The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and a 2000 graduate of St. Anselm College with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He is employed at Insurance Adjustment Service in Portland.
