1932 – 2014

GRAY — Rolande Rita Foley, 82, of Gray, died Thursday, Sept. 11, at her home after a prolonged illness.

She was born in Lewiston on March 19, 1932. She was born of the Roman Catholic faith, one of two children of Rodrique and Marie Lebel; she also had a sister, Muriel Gagne. She spent most of her life working in hospitals as a nurse/CNA and mental health worker at Rockland State Hospital in New York state and Pineland Center in Pownal.

She enjoyed shopping, arts and crafts, listening to music, knitting and crocheting.

She raised three children: a daughter, Diane Benjamin, of Gray; a son, Donald Benjamin and wife, Pauline, and one grandson, Brian, all of Lisbon Falls; and a son, Denis Foley, of Gray.

She was predeceased by her husband of 22 years, Maurice Joseph Foley.
