GREENE – A surprise party was held on Aug. 6 for Stan and Sherry Camic of Greene, on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary. Also celebrating at the same time were their friends, Craig and Cindy Dustin of Mechanic Falls.
The event was held at their home in Greene and was arranged by family members and friends. The two wives have been friends since childhood and have kept in close contact throughout the years. Both were maids of honor at each other’s wedding.
Anniversary cakes were made for the couples.
Mr. Camic is the son of the late Lillian Wheeler and Randall Camic of Mechanic Falls. Mrs. Camic is the daughter of Bertha and Maurice Leveille of Greene.
Mr. Camic and the former Sherry Leveille were married on Aug. 30, 1980, at Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church in Mechanic Falls. They have three daughters, Theresa, Randi and Kristen Camic, all of Greene.
Mr. Camic has been in the fire protection field for over 26 years. He works for Dean and Allyn of Gray. Mrs. Camic has owned and operated Sherry’s Kids Childcare Facility of Greene for the past 20 years. They spend their time golfing and vacationing to various destinations.
For their anniversary, they flew down to visit with family members in Oklahoma and Texas.
Original wedding attendants present were Cindy Wadsworth Dustin, maid of honor, Craig Dustin, usher, and Wendy Leveille Brochu, bridesmaid. Two ushers have passed away, Edward Camic and Danny Smith.
