FAYETTE – Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Pelletier of Fayette are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Julie Pelletier Robinson, to Terry Robards of Lake Placid and Big Wolf Lake, N.Y.

Ms. Robinson, a resident of Upper Jay, N.Y., is a journalist and author of books on antiques. Her first book, “Celluloid Collectors Resource and Value Guide,” was published in 1999 by Collector Books of Paducah, Ky. Her second, “Celluloid Dolls, Toys and Playthings,” will be published this fall. She attended the Institute for the Study of Antiques and Collectibles in Emmaus, Pa., and is an antique appraiser and lecturer. She also contributes articles to Antique Week, a periodical that circulates nationally to antiques collectors and dealers. She is a bluegrass singer and guitarist who has appeared widely in the northeast.

Mr. Robards is a former financial writer, foreign correspondent and wine columnist of The New York Times. He is author of “The New York Times Book of Wine,” published in 1976 by Quandrangle Books, “Terry Robards’ New Book of Wine,” published in 1984 by G.P. Putnam’s Sons and of several other wine books.

Mr. Robards is also a former wine columnist of the New York Post, was a columnist and feature writer for Wine Spectator magazine, and was senior managing editor and columnist with Wine Enthusiast magazine. His radio program “The Topic is Wine,” appeared nightly on WQXR-FM in New York. He is currently the proprietor of Terry Robards’ Wines and Spirits, Ltd., a retailer of wines and spirits in Lake Placid, N.Y.

The couple will exchange wedding vows at the Louis Jadot wine cellars in Burgundy, France, in October. They plan to make their home at Sugar House Farm in Upper Jay, N.Y.
