LEWISTON – Henry and Rita (Cote) Roy of Lewiston, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Aug. 20, 1955, at Holy Family Church in Lewiston, with the Rev. Nonorgeun officiating.
Mrs. Roy is the daughter of the late Camille and Athala (Rousseau) Cote of Lewiston. Mr. Roy is the son of the late Alfred and Bertha Roy of Lac Megantic, Quebec, Canada.
Their daughters hosted an intimate gathering the Korn Haus Keller Restaurant in Lewiston, at the request of the couple.
They have three daughters, Maureen Snyder and husband, Dan, of Monmouth, Donna Vaughan and husband, Dan, of Gorham, and Tina Stubbert and husband, Nate, of Waterville. They also had a son, Andre, who passed away in 1994.
They have five grandchildren, Matthew Thibeau, Joshua Snyder, Tia and Danna Vaughan and Brayden Stubbert. Their first grandchild, Christopher J. Thibeau, passed away on April 26, 1982.
