GREENE – Robert and Lorraine Ouellette of Greene celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 7 at Martindale Country Club in Auburn. Party hosts were their seven children. The Rev. Larry Laplante officiated at a Catholic Mass, at which the couple renewed their vows.

A tiered anniversary cake was made by their daughter, Louise Devlin, and floral and balloon bouquets were featured on the tables. A memory board was also featured and a buffet was served. Their son, Jerry Ouellette, was toastmaster. Special entertainment by family included a power point picture show and songs sung by various family members.

Mr. Ouellette and the former Lorraine Laplante were married on Sept. 5, 1955, at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston. Their children are Louise Devlin and husband, Brian, Jerry and wife, Pat, Claire Tardif and husband, Bob, Rick and wife, Donna, Ann Lopresti and husband, Vin, David and wife, Hollie, and Jim and wife, Carol. Their grandchildren are Amy, Chad, Christine, Sara, Carolyn, Derick, Dylan, Michael, Craig, Adeline, Michaela, Noah, Nicholas and Joshua.

Mr. Ouellette is retired from the Lewiston Fire Department. Mrs. Ouellette was employed at Fancy Stitchers and is a local accordionist, performing locally for 40 years at festivals and nursing homes.

Guests came from as far as New Mexico, Canada, Kentucky and Baltimore, Md.
