LEWISTON – The wedding of Stephanie Pauline Hackett and Gregory Brian Scott was held at 5 p.m. on April 16 at the Bates College Chapel. Dana Lee, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Scott is the daughter of Wayne and Mary Hackett of Mechanic Falls. Mr. Scott is the son of Robert and Susan Scott of Leeds.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white gown with pearl embroidery and carried a bouquet of white roses, blue delphiniums and yellow wild flowers. The bridegroom, groomsmen, ushers and ring bearer wore kilts.
Nicole Jenkins, friend of the bride, attended as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Amy Martin and Laurel Paladino, friends of the bride. Charlotte Winiarski, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.
Nicolas Scott performed the duties of best man for his brother and ushers were Matthew Newland, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, John Martin, friend of the bridegroom and Cawlin and Jared Clough, nephews of the bridegroom. Mason Winiarski, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.
A reception followed at Martindale Country Club in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to Destin, Fla. They are residing in Auburn.
The bride received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Farmington and is employed as special education teacher in Monmouth.
The bridegroom is currently a student at Andover College and is employed at ACE Hardware in Auburn.
