MARS HILL — A store in Mars Hill is the latest establishment to sell a winning lottery ticket.
The Maine Lottery announced Tuesday that a winning ticket worth $100,000 was sold at the One Stop Mars Hill in Mars Hill for the Gimme5 drawing of Sept. 22.
The lucky winner matched all five numbers to win the game’s top prize.
A cashier at the store, which is located on Benjamin Street, said that she was not authorized to speak about the sale of the ticket and referred calls to the corporate office. Calls to corporate were not returned Tuesday.
Gimme5 is drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening and always offers a $100,000 top prize.
Tickets can be purchased at over 1,200 lottery retailers across Maine.
