HAMPDEN – The wedding of Beth Grant and Steve Roy was held at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31 at St. Matthew’s Church in Hampden. The Rev. Robert Vaillancourt, uncle of the bridegroom, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Roy is the daughter of David and Janet Grant of East Millinocket. Mr. Roy is the son of Laurier and Irene Roy of Lewiston.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore her mother’s headpiece and her grandmother’s pearl bracelet.

Tara Stanley of Glenburn, a childhood friend of the bride, was matron of honor and Beth Whitehouse of East Millinocket, friend of the bride, was bridesmaid. Shannon Roy, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl.

Eric Roy of Lewiston served as best man for his brother and usher was Michael Crossman of Sabattus, friend of the bridegroom. Joshua Roy, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Holiday Inn in Bangor, after which the couple traveled to Playa Del Carmen in Mexico. They are residing in Brunswick.

The bride is a graduate of Schenck High School in East Millinocket and from CMMC/CMTC School of Radiologic Technology. She is employed as a CAT scan technician at Midcoast Hospital in Brunswick.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Lewiston High School and served in the U.S. Army. He is employed as an EMS at Freeport Fire and Rescue.
