BUCKFIELD – The wedding of Gloria Learnard Hall and Elwood Gammon Lowell was held at 9 p.m. on Aug. 13 at the home of the couple in Buckfield. Van L. Franklin, notary, officiated at the candlelight ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of the late Clayton and Veneita Houston Learnard. The bridegroom is the son of Ralph and Edith Gammon Lowell of Buckfield.

Attendants for the couple were the couple’s two granddaughters, Payton Alexandria Lowell and Reilly Elise Hussey, who acted as flower girls and ring bearers. They carried decorated baskets of roses, heather and baby’s breath.

A celebration with family and friends was held at their home the following day. The couple is planning a trip to Puerto Rico in February.

The bride is a graduate of Monmouth Academy in Monmouth and Central Maine General Hospital School of Nursing in Lewiston. She is employed as a school nurse by the City of Lewiston.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Buckfield High School and is vice president of R.E. Lowell Lumber Co. in Buckfield.
