DURHAM – Jeff and Mary Merrill of Skowhegan are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kristen M. Merrill of Durham, to Jason Lavoie of Durham, son of Monita Lavoie of Yarmouth and the late Larry Lavoie.
Miss Merrill is a 1996 graduate of Skowhegan Area High School and a 2000 graduate of Colby College with a bachelor’s degree in music. She is employed at Bowdoin College.
Mr. Lavoie is a 1992 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 1997 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He is employed at Bowdoin College.
The wedding will be held on Oct. 10 at Spring Meadows Banquet Center in Gray.
