BUCKFIELD — The Board of Selectmen on Tuesday night awarded surplus equipment, including two trucks, a furnace, a lawnmower and four windows to bidders.
The board voted to put the $7,305 from the sales into the Public Works equipment account.
A 1995 Chevrolet Kodiak truck with plow wing and sander was sold to Maynard and Sons for $3,000, as was a 1985 wheeler truck for $3,500.
A Modine overhead oil furnace was sold to Lucas Associates for $200, and a riding lawnmower was sold to Rick Jeffelskis for $525. Tim Brooks was sold four windows for $80.
The board voted to allow Town Manger Cindy Dunn to dispose of items from the old fire station as she saw fit. There were no bids on the items.
Dunn told the board construction of the fire/rescue station was on schedule and within the budget.
