LEWISTON – Mr. and Mrs. James Souza of Orland are joyously announcing the engagement of their daughter, Katherine, to Christian Madore of Lewiston, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Madore of Lewiston.

The happy couple met at a Eucharistic retreat three years ago in Sanford. Miss Souza has taught piano lessons in the Bangor area for the past four years and is studying early childhood development at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio.

Mr. Madore, also a student at Franciscan University with a major in journalism, has been working for his father in the field of carpentry.

The couple is planning a June 4 wedding.
