Presbyterian church to meet at UMF

FARMINGTON — Grace Reformed Presbyterian Church will hold worship services at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday, beginning Nov. 2, in room 101 of the Roberts Learning Center, UMF, 270 Main St.

The group began in January 2013 as a Bible study/fellowship, renting space at a local church.

Several families who were committed to the historic Reformed Christian faith met for study, discussion and a fellowship meal on Sunday afternoons. They soon decided to associate with the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. After seeking and receiving oversight from the Presbytery of New York and New England, they were designated a missionary work of that denomination.

Grace Reformed emphasizes the preaching of the Gospel with the New Testament doctrines of grace, which were recovered during the Protestant Reformation.

All are welcome to attend services and to stay for classes and a potluck meal to follow.
