Fiber spinning meetings

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Winter Farmers Market will host a Fiber Spinning Meet every second Saturday of the month at the Farmington Grange Hall, 124 Bridge St.

Spinners and knitters of all levels are encouraged to bring their spinning wheels and needles to the market for productive social time. The market hours are 9 a.m. to noon. The meet is free to participants, unless they wish to sell something.

The first market day will be Saturday, Nov. 1; the first spinning meet will be Saturday, Nov. 8. Refreshments will be available. The market master is Bonnie Clark, 778-6637.

Bean, casserole supper at church

FARMINGTON — A baked bean and casserole supper will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Trinity United Methodist Church. The price will be $7 for adults, children under 12 $3.50. For more information. call Trinity United Methodist Church at 778-3921.

Holiday craft, food sale set

JAY — A holiday craft and food sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at North Jay Grange 10.

Church women plan fair, lunch

RANGELEY — The women of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church will hold a holiday fair and luncheon from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, in the church undercroft, Main Street.

Coffee will be available and sale items will include homemade foods, cookies, Christmas decorations, attic treasures, Christmas dishes, jewelry and stuffed toys, as well as a small decorative sled and snowperson hand-painted by local artist Sonja Johnson. A child’s table will provide fun for the younger shoppers.

White elephant sale, fair at church

Library to  host Mexican Fiesta

WILTON — The Wilton Free Public Library will host a Mexican Fiesta dinner, Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Lions Club Hall, Main Street, next to the Wilton Fire Department.

The event will start at 5 p.m. with authentic Mexican cuisine served family-style. There will be games for the kids, music and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets are $10 each for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Tickets are available at the Wilton Free Public Library.

LIVERMORE FALLS — A holiday craft and gift fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the First Baptist Church vestry, 25 Church St.

There will be crafts, art, jewelry, food and a silent auction. Lunch will be available and a food table will have baked and preserved goods.

Free community luncheon

FARMINGTON — Old South First Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the church on Main Street.

This month’s menu consists of turkey fricassee, mashed potatoes, peas, rolls and dessert. The free meal is held every second Saturday of the month.
