NEW GLOUCESTER – A memorable surprise proposal took place on May 4 at Fenway Park. James and Dorothy Barton of Gray are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Beth Day Barton, to Joseph Scott Davis, son of Jerald and Annie Davis of New Gloucester.

The couple resides in New Gloucester and an October, 2007, wedding is planned.
