1917 – 2014
LEWISTON — Ida Cyr Nolin, 96, formerly of 10 Hemlock Circle, Auburn, died Saturday, Nov. 1, at d’Youville Pavilion, where she had been a resident for the past year.
Born in Frenchville on Nov. 15, 1917, she was a daughter of Baptiste and Flavie Caron Gervais. Educated in local schools, she worked for many years as a beautician in Biddeford, and owned her own parlor in Chula Vista, Calif.
Following the death of her first husband, Emile Cyr, she married Henry D. Nolin, who passed away in 2001.
A member of Sacred Heart Church, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, she is survived by a stepdaughter, Gloria and husband, John Tewhey, of Gorham; a brother, John Gervais and Donna of Fayetteville, N.C.; two sisters, Elizabeth Millette of Harmony and Annette Hilton of Vermont; and several nieces and nephews.
