1940 – 2014

LEWISTON — Ronald I. Michaud, 74, a longtime resident of Fair St., died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, Nov. 8.

He was born in Lewiston on June 10, 1940, a son of the late Adelard and Jeannette (Chasse) Michaud. He was educated in local schools.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard.

Ron married the love of his life, Anita St. Pierre, on Sept. 3, 1960.

Ron worked for many years in the manufacturing industry and later on in his life did drywall, painting and construction.

He was a longtime member of Pathway Vineyard Church in Lewiston. Ron loved his wife, his family and most of all, God.

He was a true family man and friend, a “Mr. Fix It” who was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed fishing and being a part of his church community. He loved to cook and looked forward to weekly family dinners. He was a very devoted and loving husband, spending the last seven years caring for his dear wife, Anita.

Ron leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Anita Michaud; his four children, Marc Michaud, Karen Michaud, Brian Michaud and wife, Becky, and Christine Bergeron and husband, Albert; his seven grandchildren, Adam Michaud and wife, Angela, Cameron Michaud, Kayla Loudermilk and husband, Adam, Heather Michaud, Sierra Smith, and Jordan and Hannah Bergeron; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Nathan and Sophia Loudermilk; two sisters, Pauline Baita and husband, Mike, and Rachel Thibault and husband, Roger; and many special nieces and nephews.
