LEWISTON – As a member of the Seacoast Guitar Society, Jim Gallant was a featured artist in its first fingerstyle compilation CD.

More recently, his song, “The Don,” about the 1941 maritime tragedy that claimed the lives of 28 people from Mexico and Rumford, is being used in an upcoming PBS documentary about the tragedy.

Gallant will play at Little Dan’s BBQ and Grill Thursday, April 16. Music will start at 6:30 p.m.; there is no cover charge.

In a review of his latest CD, “River Watch,” Good Times music magazine’s Ron Hart wrote: “Gallant ranks among some of the finest tunesmiths in the Northeast.”
