SOUTH PARIS — Lorraine L. Smith, 60, of South Paris, passed away Sunday, Nov. 16, at Market Square Health Care Center.
She was born in Lewiston on June 30, 1954, to parents E. Clayton and Frances E. (Douglass) Gay. She graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1973.
Lorraine was a member of the Norway-Paris Comets Drum and Bugle Corps with Fred and Florence Mclaughlin. She enjoyed activities at Market Square, watching movies on the Hallmark Movie Channel and watching her grandson play sports.
She worked as a self-employed day care provider for many years.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, A.J. Smith; daughter, Natalie; grandson, Lil’ A.J. and his fianceé, Angel; a sister, Mary Skillin; a brother, Ernest Gay and his wife, Jill; three great-nephews, Levi and Brady Lawrence and Lucas Clark; three great-nieces, Ashlee and Julia Gay and Lauren Millett; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Gearald; and two half-sisters, Shirley and Eleanor.
