RUMFORD — The Rumford Historical Society has again prepared their historically-oriented calendars for sale. These 2015 calendars are available for $4 each in two different sizes: 5½ by 8 inches or 8½ by 11 inches.
Each calendar features photos of restaurants from the Rumford area that residents all remember. Also found in the calendar are recipes from some of these restaurants, and from the collection of old recipe books which are filed in the Archives Office.
The calendars can be purchased at the following locations: Bartash’s Gift Store, Carlisle’s Clothing Store, Davis’ Florist, Delux Diner, Ink!, Ink Plaza, Rumford House of Pizza, Tax Collector’s Office and Rumford Historical Society Office, which is open Thursdays only from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Rumford Historical Society is a nonprofit organization, and relies on dues, donations and fundraising activities to meet its operating expenses. The sale of the 2015 calendars will help the society meet its mission of preserving the historical documents and artifacts of the Rumford community.
