1915 – 2015

AUBURN — The Rev. Walter O. Eichenberger Jr., 99, of Auburn, died Saturday, Jan. 3, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.

He was born on Aug. 23, 1915, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Walter is survived by a brother, the Rev. Edward Eichenberger, of Nampa, Idaho; a son, David Eichenberger and wife, Barbara, of Tampa, Fla.; a son, Daniel Eichenberger and wife, Shirley, of Portland, Ore.; a daughter, Dr. Lida Dekker and husband, Marius, of Vancouver, Wash.; a daughter, the Rev. Lissa Bradford, of Auburn; friend, Joshua Bradford, of Lisbon; granddaughter, Holly Farmer and her husband, Curtis, of Portland, Ore.; grandson, John Eichenberger, of Kansas City, Mo.; granddaughter, Kelle Billeaudeaux and her husband, Andre, of Annandale, Va.; grandchildren, twins, Grace and Benjamin Bradford of Poland; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Megan Farmer, Isaac and Hunter Eichenberger and Cutter and Chloe Billeaudeaux; and many nieces and nephews.

The family is grateful for the outstanding and professional care Walter received from the teams at Schooner Estates Senior Living Community and Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
