1918 – 2015
AUBURN — Amber Fern (Dickinson) Tarr, 96, of Lisbon, was called to her Heavenly home on Monday, Jan. 12, surrounded by loving family.
She was born in Perham on May 2, 1918, the first child born to the late Harry and Leona (Roy) Dickinson. She grew up in the Perham area and attended local schools. Amber was married to Clifford Victor Tarr and they started a family together.
She was a longtime member of Perham Baptist Church, before moving to Lisbon to be closer to her daughter after her retirement. She was an active member of Lisbon Falls Baptist Church and loved her church family.
Amber was a very hardworking woman and was very self-sufficient after becoming a young widow. She retired as a quality control person from McCain’s Processing Potato Plant.
She was known for the beautiful quilts she made and the many dishcloths she knit and generously gave to everyone.
Amber is survived by her only daughter, Leann Cielinski and husband, Robert, of Lisbon Falls; her son, Glen Tarr and wife, Lorraine, of Holden; and a daughter-in-law, Betty Tarr, of Fisher, Ill. Amber loved hearing about her grandchildren, Monica, Thomas, Troy, Teresa, Stanley, Kerry, Janine and Eric; and her great-grandchildren, Brody, Brent, Clayton, Ruby, Jared, Joshua, Chase, Nicholas, Rachel, Emily, Caleb, Taylor and Kaileigh. She had one great-great-granddaughter, Lila. Amber is also survived by her younger sister, Anita Tarr; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Victor, in 1962; her sister, Doris McBrieairty; her brother, Marvin Dickinson; and her firstborn son, Gary, in 2012.
