1959 – 2015

LEWISTON — Jayne B. Wilner, 55, of Oxford, died unexpectedly after a short illness on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Norway on Sept. 22, 1959, a daughter of Leroy and Shirley Hemingway Bennett. Jayne graduated from Oxford Hills High School and had worked as a florist and bartender in the area.

She enjoyed shopping for crafts, gardening and cooking, but the most enjoyment she received was from her family, especially being “Nana.” She loved her “Nana parties” with ice cream, toast and anything the grandchildren wanted.

On Jan. 11, 1986, she married Jonathan “Jody” Wilner.

Survivors include her husband of Oxford, a daughter, Jeni Cash and her significant other, Kyle Jordan, of Otisfield; three sons, Ernie Fitts and his wife, Jessica, of Oxford, Stephen Wilner and his significant other, Erin Lovely, of Oxford and Chadd Wilner and his significant other, Maegan Hewison, of Oxford; nine grandchildren, Molly and Mackenzie Jordan, Connor Fitts, Carlee Cash, Cassius Wilner, Alyson Cash, Mason McLeod, Anna Fitts and Austin Wilner; a brother and sisters, Bonnie and Michael Sprague of Oxford, Deenie and Doc Page of South Paris, Jimmy Bennett and significant other, Mary Tremblay, of Bridgton and Pam Bennett of Norway; a special aunt, Alice, of Rhode Island; many nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Malca Wilner, of Auburn; brothers-in-law, Paul and Eileen Wilner of Falmouth and Charles and Kris Wilner of Norway; and a sister-in-law, Beth Vallee, of New Hampshire.

Jayne was predeceased by her father, Leroy; her mother, Shirley Durgin; stepfather, Roland Durgin; a niece, Samantha Jayne Bennett; a brother, Ray Bennett; a sister, Sherry; and in-laws, Richard Wilner, Carol Kaplan and Randy Silver.
