FARMINGTON — Phyllis (Bachelder) Flagg, 93, passed away Friday, Jan. 23, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

She was born Aug. 13, 1921, in Coplin Plantation, the daughter of James A. and Ethel H. (Wyman) Bachelder. She was educated in Coplin-area schools and graduated from Stratton High School in 1938.

She married Floyd Flagg of Avon on Sept. 27, 1941. Floyd passed away on Oct. 26, 1986.

During the war, she cooked for Lac-Megantic Fish and Game Club and later worked at Strong Manufacturing and Paris Manufacturing.

Phyllis moved to Buckfield in the fall of 1949 where she and Floyd made their home. They owned and operated a greenhouse, Slush Harbor Gardens, and Phyllis worked doing housework for several people in Buckfield.

Special thank-you to the staff at Congregate Apartments and Nursing Home at Orchard Park, as well as Franklin Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care Phyllis received in the past few years.
