The Hartford Heritage Society’s “Springing into Summer” garden tour will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 14. Last year, the tour featured mid-summer gardens throughout Hartford. This year, a new vista of early blooming annuals and perennials will be enjoyed. A free light luncheon of pies, salads, beverages and dessert pies will be served at Green Acres Inn under the old maples in honor of Hartford’s Custard Pie Society of yesteryear. Tickets are $12 per person and will be available in advance from local town offices, from society members or by calling Beulah Brown at 597-2073; and at the J. & O. Irish Museum on Main Street in Hartford on June 14. All proceeds support the Hartford Heritage Society and Museum.
