1948 – 2015

LEEDS — Emily R. Libby, 66, a resident of Leeds, passed away Monday morning, March 9, at her home.

Emily was born in Cambridge, Mass., on June 26, 1948, a daughter of James F. Halloran and Rita (Butler) Halloran. She graduated from St. Peter’s High School and attended Harvard University in Cambridge.

On April 27, 1984, she married Roger Libby in North Turner; he passed away on Sept. 30, 2012.

Emily was employed as a welfare investigator for the state of Maine Department of Human Services, retiring in 2009.

She is survived by her three daughters, Erin-Margaret Moize and her husband, Mark, of Leeds, Terri Perry of Turner and Julie Williams and her husband, Kevin, of Portland; two sons, Jay Sinclair and wife, Alexandra, of Lexington, S.C., and Brent Libby of Turner; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Rita DiFraia and her husband, Tony, of Billerica, Mass., and Maureen Siglow of Leeds.

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Roger Libby.
