NORWAY — Kyleigh Roberts of Norway, a senior at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, has been selected to receive the 2015 Principal’s Award, Principal Ted Moccia announced today. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement, leadership and citizenship.
Kyleigh Roberts has distinguished herself as a leader at OHCHS. She has excelled in the classroom. Kyleigh is ranked fourth in the Class of 2015. Kyleigh is the president of the National Honor Society and the school’s Respect Team. She is also a member of the student council.
“She exemplifies what we want all our students to be at OHCHS,” Principal Moccia noted. “Her work ethic, her participation and achievements in co-curricular activities and her high academic achievement over the course of her high school career make her a very deserving recipient. Kyleigh is the kind of students that makes me proud to be her principal.”
Kyleigh Roberts is the daughter of Alletta Roberts of Norway and Timothy Roberts of Oxford.
Kyleigh, Principal Moccia and other award winners and their principals will attend an Honors Luncheon at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor on Saturday, April 11, at 12:30 p.m.
The Honors Luncheon recognizes these outstanding students with the presentation of an individual plaque and the awarding of ten $1,000 scholarships, twice the number awarded in previous years. The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 100 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association which represents Maine’s school administrators.
