1929 – 2015
AUBURN — Philip Fyfe Sr. of Auburn passed away Wednesday, March 4, at the Androscoggin Hospice House after a period of failing health, surrounded by family and friends.
Phil was born on Aug. 16, 1929, in Auburn, the youngest child of William and Wilhemina Fyfe. He was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1948. He served In the National Guard during the Korean War.
His career in Insurance spanned over 35 years, with more than 25 years in Maine and New Hampshire with the Concord Group Insurance Co. Phil was a 60-year member of the Tranquil Masonic Lodge in Auburn.
Phil is survived by his children, Deborah (Gerry) Gelinas of Dunbarton, N.H., Philip Fyfe Jr. of Vinalhaven, Linda Fyfe-Adams of Rockland and Timothy (Heidi) Fyfe of Concord, N.H.; his former wife, Cynthia Young Williamson; his brother, Donald (Lorielee) Fyfe, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Phil will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
