1933 – 2015
WEST PARIS — Richard “Dick” Gallant died peacefully on Sunday, April 19, at Ledgeview Living Center, where he had been a patient for 11 months.
He was born on April 25, 1933, a son of Josephine and Albany Gallant. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a foreman at Boise Cascade for many years. He also was a runner and completed the Boston Marathon. He was an avid fly fisherman. Most of all, he was a great dad and was very proud of his three sons.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean (Chabot) Gallant; sons, Todd of Rumford; Scott, Carol and their children, Cassadie, Justin, Laurie and Stephanie of Westbrook; Jeff and wife, Sara, and their children, Amanda and Michael; a sister, Ann of Canada; brothers, Fred of Florida, Gerald of Rumford and Bill of Peru.
