RUMFORD — The Rumford Police Department responded to 99 calls in the last one-week period and 92 calls for service in the previous week, Chief Stacy Carter said by email. Here are a few of those reports:
* At 12:28 p.m. April 21, a Cumberland Street resident reported the theft of a mail package valued at $20. Sgt. Doug Maifeld is investigating.
* At 1:32 p.m. April 19, a Burgess Hill resident reported that his residence had been entered sometime since last fall. No items appeared to be missing. Sgt. Tracey Higley is investigating.
* At 9:51 a.m. April 18, an Ellis River Road resident reported that his satellite dish was vandalized. Officer Scott Landis is investigating.
* At 4:51 p.m. April 17, a Lochness Road resident reported that his phone was stolen while he was on Canal Street. Sgt. James Bernard is investigating.
* At 2:13 p.m. April 14, a Buckfield resident who had stayed on Hancock Street reported the theft of an iPad. Higley is investigating.
