1926 – 2015

LEWISTON — Simone R. (LeBrun) Buzza, 88, of Lewiston, died on Wednesday, April 29, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, following a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston, on Sept. 13, 1926, the daughter of the late Paul and Josephine (Therriault) LeBrun. She was a resident of this community from 1926 to 1954, leaving Lewiston in 1954 for California and later Las Vegas. She came back “home” to Lewiston to be close to family, in November of 2002.

She was employed in the local shoe industry for many years, until her retirement.

She was married to Vincent Buzza on June 28, 1958; he died on Oct. 12, 2002.

Simone was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church. She enjoyed playing cards and dancing. She remained close with her family, often visiting during the years she lived out West. She was always kind and fun to her niece and nephews.

She is survived by three sisters, Therese St. Clair, Gilberte LeBrun and Camilla Beauchesne and her husband, Bertrand, all of Lewiston; and niece and nephews, Daniel LeBrun, Suzanne St. Clair, Paul Beauchesne, Donald, Richard, Paul III and Denis LeBrun.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Paul LeBrun; and a sister, Yolande Pagurko.
