LEWISTON — Doris M. Picard, 69, of Lewiston died Monday, April 24, at the Marshwood Nursing Home in Lewiston, where she had been a resident since September 2014.

Born in Auburn on May 4, 1947, she was the daughter of Armand and Maria Leblanc Picard. Educated locally, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School, and worked as an administrative assistant at Central Maine Medical Center for many years. She had a beautiful singing voice, was a very talented painter and enjoyed knitting. Doris also thoroughly enjoyed when the family got together, loved being involved in the planning of many family functions, and was always willing to help out with most anything when asked.

A member of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish, she is survived by two brothers, Oscar Picard of Auburn, and Donald Picard and wife, Kathleen, of Glastonbury, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Constance Picard; and a nephew, Patrick Rines.
