PORTLAND – Following its 2006 Emmy nomination in the Best Entertainment Program category at the Boston/New England Emmy awards, “Maine Model” is at it again.

Judges and producers of “Maine Model 3” will be at the Maine Mall from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19. They are searching for seven beautiful, confident women to take part in a three-part modeling reality series to be taped in September and broadcast in November.

Judges are looking for beauty, confidence, poise and personality. All participants must be between the ages of 18 and 27. There is no height requirement. Contestants will need to walk and pose on camera as well as answer questions from the judges.

Patterned after the hit UPN reality series “America’s Next Top Model,” “Maine Model” contestants will compete in various modeling challenges.

Among other prizes, the winner will receive a free photo session with “Maine Model” photographer Stewart Smith as well as a personalized tape and introduction to the producers of “America’s Next Top Model.”
