LEWISTON – Organist Dr. Kevin Birch will give a concert featuring the works of Bach, Fournier, Guilmant and Mendelssohn Friday, June 8, at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

Birch has performed throughout the United States, in Europe and South America and for several national conventions of the Organ Historical Society. Later this month, he will perform the opening concert at the International Organ Festival, in Berlin where he will also present a lecture titled “The Hook Organs of Maine.”

Birch can be heard on OHS recordings “Historic Organs of Connecticut” and “Historic Organs of Boston,” and “Exsultate – Sacred Choral and Organ Music,” recorded at St. John’s in Bangor.

He will perform at the basilica beginning at 7:30 p.m.
