FARMINGTON — Mt. Blue High School celebrated its last Student of the Month Assembly and honored four outstanding students for their personal attributes and accomplishment.
The students are nominated by the faculty, and the award ceremony is conducted by member of the MBHS Chapter, Future Business Leaders of America, and their advisor, Priscilla Conner. Each honoree was presented a personalized plaque and certification and their parents were invited to the assembly.
The fourth-quarter SOM recipients were: freshman-sophomore class, Alexander Haggan and Joe Crandall; junior-senior class, Kelsey Parlin and Miriam Cohen. Kelsey Parlin was absent the day of the assembly.
Principal Bruce Mochamer also recognized eight students with the
Principal’s Award. The award for this quarter was based on kindness and compassion shown to others. The recipients were: freshmen, Zoadia Lamb, Krystie Ridley; sophomores, Elizabeth Burke, Emiliano Flores, Leah St. Laurent; juniors, Cordell Ellis; seniors, Taylor Kaminsky, Anthony Franchetti.
Additional recognitions presented were Athletics, Music, Theater,
Yearbook Dedication, Book Awards, goodbyes from three foreign exchange students and music provided by the jazz band.
