LISBON — The Beaver Park Fishing Derby will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 6, at the park, 37 Cotton Road, sponsored by the Lisbon Parks and Recreation Department.

The derby is free to participants, children age 1 to 15. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Middle Pond area. The pond will be stocked by Mountain Spring Trout Farm and the derby will be officiated by USDA Wildlife Biologist Ben Nugent.

Prizes will be awarded in three age groups: ages 1-6, ages 7-12 and ages 13-15.

Adults assisting children must have a valid Maine fishing license.
