LEWISTON – Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre will present the Maine premiere for Disney’s “High School Musical.” Directed by Richard Martin, “HSM” will have 40 to 50 cast members, including roles for a drama teacher and a basketball coach. People auditioning must be a freshman in high school at the time of the audition, or older.

Auditions will be held at 7 p.m. May 20 and at 6 p.m. May 21 at Lewiston Middle School. Please use the main entrance on Central Avenue.

CLT has scheduled vocal workshops to help auditioners for April 30 and May 7. Led by HSM vocal director Rebecca Poppke, the workshops will be held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the chorus room at Lewiston High School on East Avenue.

“HSM” rehearsals will be preceded by a distinctive, educational component as an essential feature for vocal, dance and dialogue rehearsals.

Show dates are July 25-26-27-28. The cast will also perform offsite at the Liberty Festival in Lewiston on July 4 in the evening.

Tickets are $15 and will be offered to season ticketholders until June 10, after which they will be released for public sale.
