BRUNSWICK – The music of Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Ira Gershwin and other composers of the 1930s and ’40s will resound throughout Crooker Theater in late April and early May.

A musical revue, organized by Ron Carroll, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6, in the theater at Brunswick High School.

Music will be performed by Carroll and Friends. Cast members include Sheldon Bird, Jan Crosson, Neil Donocan, Rick Horton, Rob Jarrett, Anne Olivo, Sandy Petteruti and Jean Shaw.

Some of the songs in the program include “Stomping at the Savoy,” “As Time Goes By,” Anything Goes,” Moonlight Serenade,” “I Love a Piano,” “Don’t Fence Me In,” and “It’s Wonderful.”

There will also be a tribute to Rodgers and Hammerstein, which will include songs from “Oklahoma,” “The Sound of Music” and “Carousel.” Carroll will also play two ragtime selections: “The Johnson Rag” and “The Twelfth Street Rag.”

Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at Hannaford supermarkets in Brunswick and Topsham and at Bookland at Cooks Corner.

All proceeds will go to the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program.
