When I first voted for Paul LePage for governor, I felt he was like a good breath of fresh air. I still believe it today. I would vote for him again, if I could.

LePage’s plan for the great state of Maine is an ambitious one. It will definitely help the poor and help job creation, state wide, if given a chance. The old guard of the past 40 years or so controlled the state and destroyed jobs in Maine.

Democrats are only good for raising more taxes, keeping people in the poor house, as well as great at changing the facts, ignoring the facts and changing their stories when interviewed.

I would support a couple improvements to Gov. LePage’s plan: increasing the sales tax by 2 cents to help with education (not for paying the salaries of superintendents or assistants).

Negotiations for teachers’ contracts and support staff should be handled in Augusta. The amounts of money given to the school districts should be announced each year so towns could plan for property taxes.
