BATH — Phoenix racewalker Trevor Judd was the lone scorer for Spruce Mountain in the 2015 Class B state meet.

The junior placed third in the event with a time of 7:28.32. Teammate Sam Brenner, the two-time defending state champion, was disqualified for a technique violation.

Other Spruce Mountain boys who competed were Adam Wilcox, 10th in the 400 meters with a time of 54.99; the boys 4×100 relay team of James Herlihy, Austin White, Tucker Smith, and Zachary Whitney, 21st at 51.2 seconds; the boys 4×400 relay team of Whitney, Andrew Wilcox, Adam Wilcox, and Ben Nichols, 14th at 3:54.26; and the boys 4×800 relay team of Alex Greenleaf, Nichols, Whitney, and Andrew Wilcox, 12th at 9:26.07.

The York boys won the title with 96 points, while the Phoenix tied for 22nd with six points.

For the girls, the Phoenix’ Sadie Storer was 10th in the 400 meter dash at 1:06.16. Calleigh Norris placed 12th in the 300-meter hurdles at 53.29 seconds, while Gretchen Krout was 14th in the javelin at 82’04”.

The girls 4×100 relay team of Alexis Beardsley, Sydney Shaffer, Emma DiPompo, and Mikenzie Parker was 21st in a time of 58.95 seconds, and the 4×400 relay squad of Norris, Krout, Beardsley, and Storer placed 16th at 4:50.51.

The Waterville girls took home the crown with 118.25 points.
