FARMINGTON — Wilton opened up an early lead on the AYS Eagles, Friday night, before engaging in a slugfest that left the Bears owning a 15-10 win in Franklin County Babe Ruth League action at Hippach Field.
Garrett Reynolds pitched into the fourth inning before receiving relief help from Isaac Cardona and Randy Barker to seal the win.
Wilton improved to 1-1 while the Eagles absorbed their first loss of the season to go 1-1.
The Farmington Falcons remained undefeated over the weekend after drawing a bye. The Falcons are now 2-0 and remain the only unbeaten team in the league.
The Eagles, Wilton Bears and AYS Hawks are all tied for second with 1-1 records, followed by the Farmington Merchants at 0-2.
A pair of games are slated for a 5 p.m. start Friday night, June 12. The Farmington Falcons are slated to play the AYS Hawks in Jay while the Farmington Merchants will take on the AYS Eagles in Livermore Falls.
