RANGELEY — The Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce has announced that it will hold July 3rd In The Park this year.  The park will come to life with activities, food and entertainment for all ages, all provided by area nonprofit organizations.

The festivities will start at 11 a.m., following the children’s parade at 10 a.m. and the duck race on Haley Pond at 10:30 a.m. Fireworks will follow at dusk.

The event will provide food, live entertainment, games, demonstrations and informational talks. There will also be a variety of items for sale and the chamber’s silent auction will be going on all day at the chamber office at the entrance to the park.

“The Chamber Board felt that bringing back the tradition of Independence Day in the park was important to this community and with the assistance and endorsement of the Park Commission, it should be a great revival of an old tradition many of us remember from our youth” said Karen Ogulnick, executive director.
