Happy Father’s Day to all my readers! I hope all Dad’s young and not so young will have a great day.
The first Father’s Day was established at the YMCA in Spokane, Washington, in 1908 by a daughter who was mourning the loss of her Dad, a widowed father who raised his six children. This honorary celebration survives to this day. Let’s not forget those Moms who take on the role of both Dad and Mom in the absence of an effectual father, Happy Father’s Day to those Moms too!
Make Dad or Mom a meal they’ll remember by cooking some perfect burgers and piling them high with all the fixin’s. Turning burgers into a Father’s Day feast is as simple as adding a few delicious flourishes. Keep it stress free by using store bought shortcuts and make ahead strategies such as molding the patties ahead of time and refrigerating them. Having a plan and following through will make the dinner a lot of fun for everyone. Bon Appetit!

Prepare:
1. Prepare a hot grill.
2. Put burger seasoning in a bowl with the meat and mix. Divide the meat into 8 balls.
3. Divide each ball into a patty and fill the patty with cheese. Seal the top patty over the bottom patty. This makes 4 patties.
4. Place the burgers on the grill, turning only once, 4 1/2 minutes per side. Meanwhile place the buns on the grill, cut side down fro 30 seconds to 1 minute.
5. Place the burgers on the bottom buns and top with veggies, place condiments into veggies, not on bun to prevent sogginess.
Note: We used pickles, tomato slices, avocado, onion and other ingredients to stuff burgers, each was amazing, be creative!
