OQUOSSOC – Author Paul Doiron will be featured for a book-signing at the Outdoor Sporting Heritage Museum in Oquossoc on from 11 to 2 p.m., Saturday June 2o. Doiron is the best-selling author of the “Game Warden Mike Bowditch” series of crime novels. He has received the Barry Award, Strand Critics Award and Maine Literary Award for his writing. He has been nominated for several other prestigious awards and is editor emeritus of Down East Magazine. His first crime novel in the six book series “The Poacher’s Son” catapulted Doiron into the national literary limelight. His latest in the series is “The Precipice”. All six of he books will be on sale and available for the author to sign for visitors and Paul’s fans are urged to bring along their own copies for signing .
OSHM has just opened a brand new exhibit entitled “From Paddles to Pack Baskets and more.” This exhibit features a collection of vintage rustic woodcraft including an authentic birch bark canoe and many other vintage items used to work and play in the Great North Woods.
