CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Sugarloaf/USA is offering entertainment specifically for families this month and next.
Saturday, Feb. 10, Hot Peas N Butter, direct from the Noggin Network’s Jack’s Big Music Show, will give a concert at 6:30 p.m. in the King Pine Room. Tickets are $5 in advance, $7 at the door.
The highlight of President’s Week at Sugarloaf will be a performance by Mainesqueeze Tuesday, Feb. 20. The group is a mix of Texas swing, folk, R&B and country with three-part harmonies, hot guitar and pedal steel.
Together now for 20 years, the band is known for its versatility and originality. Members draw on varied types of music and have each performed with many well-known musicians in their local New England area and nationally. Their first CD, “Long Way Home,” was released in November 2005.
On Mar. 7, The Dirty Sock Funtime Band will take the stage as part of the Nickelodeon and Sugarloaf Winterfest March 5 to 9. This eclectic collection of musicians was also featured on Jack’s Big Music Show.
Family events are open to everyone regardless of whether they’re guests on the mountain.
