Hartford Community Church to host tea party
HARTFORD — The Hartford Community Church will be hosting a “Tinkerbell & The Fairies Tea Party” from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at the Hartford Town Hall on Route 140.
There will be a storybook reading, make your own fairy house and a golden box raffle. $4 per person.

Fly Rod Crosby Trail announces work days
STRONG — High Peaks Alliance has announced its 2015 Fly Rod Crosby Trail work days.
The organization’s goal this year is to maintain the existing trail from Phillips to Saddleback and build the connecting trail from Saddleback to the Oquossoc Sporting Heritage Museum.
The work days are Saturday, June 27, Friday, July 10; Saturday, July 11; Saturday, Aug. 8; and Saturday, Sept. 19. All work days will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The meeting place for June 27 is Madrid Kiosk, Reeds Mill Road. Other meeting locations will be announced.
Volunteers should bring sunscreen, bug spray, water and lunch. Anyone is welcome to volunteer.

PARIS — A chuck wagon supper will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at VFW Post 9787, 58 East Main St.
Cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under.
The meal is hosted by Amvets Post 777.
Light the Garden elegant evening funraiser finishes online auction
NORWAY — The Alan Day Community will hold Light the Garden fundraiser Saturday, June 27, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Garden, 26 Whitman St.
The event will celebrate the culmination of a month-long online silent auction. The auction will run until 8 p.m. The auction is available to everyone online at alandaygarden.wordpress.com.
Tickets cost $10 to $25.
This year, funds raised by the event will support the completion of an open pavilion to protect events and workshops from the sun and rain. A grant covered the design and the foundation that was dug and laid last year. The Board of Directors hopes to raise enough funds to complete the project this year.

Sons of Italy to meet
RUMFORD — The Sons of Italy Lodge will host their regular meeting at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at the lodge on Smithville Road.
A light lunch will follow the meeting. There will be 50/50, and a monthly topic speaker.
Historical Society to host talk
SOUTH PARIS — The Paris Cape Historical Society will host a talk on the history of the volunteer fire department at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at 77 High Street.
The society’s president, Ben B. Conant, will give the talk.
