1935 – 2015

LEWISTON — Joan I. Soule, 79, formerly of 37 Academy St., Auburn, died Sunday, June 28, at Montello Manor in Lewiston. She died peacefully with her sister and family at her side.

Born in Lewiston on Oct. 6, 1935, she was the daughter of Charles H. and Rose de Lima (Del) Charest Soule. She was educated at St. Patrick’s School and Lewiston High School.

She was a shoe shop worker and a certified nursing assistant at Marcotte Nursing Home. She moved to Florida 30 years ago, where she worked in customer service for a credit card processing center.

She leaves her sister, Doris Ducharme; her niece, Rosemarie and husband, Thomas Vining; her nephews, Ronald and wife, Judy, Jeffrey and wife, Nancy, and Kevin and wife, Penny Ducharme; 12 grandnieces and grandnephews; and she was especially pleased to be a great-great-aunt. Also surviving is a special friend, Irene Parent.
